Le Clos Corbier awarded Vignobles & Découvertes label
Le Clos Corbier has just been awarded the national Vignobles & Découvertes label, following an on-site evaluation and validation by both local and national committees. We are delighted to share this news. This recognition reflects the full experience we offer in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ: cellar tours, tastings, lunch at La Table du Clos, and guest rooms.
A typical visit begins behind the scenes of our Collard-Milesi Champagne production: the history of the estate and the key stages of Champagne making... It continues with a tasting and aroma workshop, designed as a sensory introduction to Champagne rather than a simple tasting. At lunchtime, La Table du Clos serves regional Champagne cuisine on the estate. The afternoon can continue in the garden, with a drink on the terrace, a sabrage experience with our team, or simply time to enjoy the setting. For those who want to stay longer, the estate’s guest rooms offer an overnight stay.
What sets Le Clos Corbier apart is the combination of warm hospitality and a genuine passion for Champagne. Visitors from different countries meet, exchange, and share a moment over Champagne with our team. This dynamic is part of what makes the experience so special.
Created in 2009 by the Ministries of Tourism and Agriculture, Vignobles & Découvertes is a national label dedicated to wine tourism in France. It highlights destinations and providers that offer a complete wine tourism experience, combining quality hospitality, varied activities, and authentic experiences. For visitors, the label is a reassuring sign: the welcome, the visit, and the associated services have been assessed independently.
The label is awarded by Atout France, France's tourism development agency, in conjunction with the High Council for Wine Tourism. The application is first reviewed locally, with an on-site visit organised by the Tourist Office. It is then examined by a local committee before being sent to Atout France for final approval. The label is reviewed regularly, which means it is more than a marketing badge: the standards are checked over time.
Le Clos Corbier has been awarded the label as a wine estate, a category that covers tours, tastings, dining, and accommodation on site. To qualify, an estate must meet the criteria of the Vignobles & Découvertes framework, sign the Comité Champagne quality charter, commit to the Vin & Société manifesto, and provide a detailed description of its activity. The application is then checked against what is actually offered on site, with a focus on visitor reception, service quality, and the overall coherence of the experience.
For a visitor planning their trip to Champagne, the Vignobles & Découvertes label serves as a reliable guide amidst a wide array of options. It points to an estate where the visit goes beyond a simple glass of Champagne and becomes a complete, verified experience: welcome, tasting, meal, and possibly an overnight stay. Le Clos Corbier now joins the list of certified addresses in the UNESCO-listed vineyard, just a short distance from Épernay and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.
